I have always believed in the magic of sweets...the power of a simple cupcake to bring a smile to any face. What I do is not work, it's pure joy. Each day I am able to create with my hands, use my imagination, play with my food and consume delights with zero nutritional value, all in the name of quality control. Each week I see countless faces light up as they see the cake they've ordered be brought to life.
I have worked as a pastry chef and cake decorator in a European style bakery, and have been creating custom cakes for over 25 years. In 2011, I opened Sugar, Refined. and since then our shop has grown with the help of a very dedicated and entirely underpaid staff. Together, this amazing team continues to spread joy by creating beautifully designed and amazingly delicious cakes.
